Because Turks were nomads, they have travelled around many areas of Eurasia and Northern Africa. They ruled over many of these regions with their dynasties and left a lot of marks around the world. From the large federation of nomadic tribes to the young republics in Central Asia, Caucasus and Anatolia, all have their own stamp in architecture or left a legend in certain places.
We at Tujue are aiming to preserve and promote the Turkic history and culture. Our goal is to chase Turkic legends and relics around the world and explore Turkic heritage.
Tujue is the Middle Chinese name in historical sources for the Göktürks. The common name Göktürk is the Anatolian Turkish form of the ethnonym. The Old Turkic name variants for Göktürk were 𐰰𐰼𐰇𐱅 (Türük) or 𐰛𐰇𐰜⁚𐰰𐰼𐰇𐱅 (Kök Türük).
According to some Chinese sources, the meaning of the Middle Chinese word Tujue was “combat helmet”, because the shape of the Altai Mountains, where the Turks lived, was similar to a combat helmet.
